Led by Jessika Carter’s near double double, the Bulldogs are 5-0, having imposed their will on both ends of the floor.
Carter, who posted 21 points, eight rebounds, and a pair of blocks, ultimately proved to be too much for the Tigers down low. In double figures for the third straight game, Carter continues to live up to expectations. Jordan Danberry, the Bulldogs best defender, added four steals on the night. Additionally, Danberry was able to stay out of foul trouble, having totaled just two personals.
Forward Chloe Bibby crashed the boards at will and led the team with 15. Though she has not accumulated a high number of points, Bibby is the perfect complement to Carter in the paint. Off the bench, Rickea Jackson had a 13 point night with just one turnover.
Having committed just 14 turnovers in contrast to the Tigers 22, the Bulldogs are taking care of the ball while emerging into a formidable defensive squad. Look for a similar performance on Monday against Marquette.
Hail State!
