With a spark from its second unit, Mississippi State handled Little Rock on both ends of the floor.

Leading the team in points was freshman guard Aliyah Matharu with 18 off the bench. Matharu further filled the stat line, having posted five boards, an assist, and two steals.

In addition, three of five starters were in double figures. Jessika Carter recorded a Double-double with 11 points and 14 rebounds, seven offensive and seven defensive. Rickea Jackson continues to be a lethal scoring threat, as she poured in 14 points.

Known for her all-round game, Jordan Danberry added 15 points and four steals. Though Xaria Wiggins got the start, she struggled with just three points and five turnovers. Look for Wiggins to be back on track come Thursday against Florida.

That said, the Bulldogs forced the Trojans into 23 turnovers and imposed their will defensively. Expect more of an all-round team game going forward.

Hail State!
