Miss. State, Youngstown State clash in Bulldogs Opening Day weekend

The Bulldogs open the 2019 season with three-game series against Youngstown State in the #NewDude

There still remains about month before spring starts but the middle of February marks the spring for baseball as No. 14 Mississippi State baseball prepares for an exciting Opening Day weekend against Youngstown State.

After three years of renovation, the Bulldogs will open their first three-game series of the season against Youngstown State in the improved Dudy Noble Field.

This weekend’s three-game series marks the first time the two teams have played in program history. Youngstown State is a member of the Horizon League.

Under first year head coach Chris Lemonis, the Bulldogs will look to build on their success from last season.
