What to Watch For
Andra Espinoza-Hunter from distance
Espinoza-Hunter, who scored in double digits last Thursday has proven herself as a three point threat. Having shot 4-7 from beyond the arc, 12 of her 16 points were three. Espinoza-Hunter has looked more confident as of late and should see her share of minutes. Expect another double-digit performance and a three point clinic.
Teaira McCowan down low
McCowan, on fire as of late should have another another double double, as she is averaging 17.1 points and 13.8 rebounds per game. Look for her to set the tone early and command the paint. McCowan has also turned it up on the defensive end, as we should see a few steals and game changing blocks.
Anriel Howard offensively
Howard has been a lethal scoring threat. She is averaging 15.1 points per game and has shown no signs of slowing down. Look for Howard to post at least 20 today and get into the lane with ease. In addition, Howard should add a few steals to her stat line.
Jazzmun Holmes at the point
Having not turned the ball over against LSU, Holmes has looked a lot more comfortable in her role. Not only is she limiting her turnovers, Holmes has developed an all around game as a point guard. As Holmes is averaging 7.8 points to go along with 44 steals on the year, expect Holmes make an impact from opening tip.
Prediction
Mississippi State wins comfortably 83-67.
