What to Watch For
Mississippi State’s defense containing Auburn quarterback Bo Nix
While the Bulldogs are stout and formidable up front, they will be dealing with a star in the making in Nix. Nix has passed for 645 yards and five touchdowns. He has also rushed for 117 yards and a score. With that said, the Bulldogs will make Nix fight for every yard.

Erroll Thompson and Chauncey Rivers are sure to have their way against Nix, as both have the speed and power to make an immediate impact. If able to get to Nix, Auburn could be in for a long day. Additionally, look for Brian Cole to command the backfield and make plays as well.
Osirus Mitchell down the sideline
As he stands at 6-foot-5 and can fly, Mitchell will receive his share of targets. The question is whether or not he can capitalize against the Tiger secondary. While he can sky for any ball, Auburn’s defensive backfield is imposing and physical.

Mitchell should post north of 100 yards for Mississippi State to walk out of Jordan-Hare with a win. Mitchell is not afraid to take a hit and is likely to find the end zone more than once. Expect him to lead the Bulldogs in receiving yards and touchdowns.
Prediction
Mississippi State falls to Auburn 24-20
