STARKVILLE, Miss. — The Southeastern Conference has announced the game times and TV networks for two more Mississippi State football games — Week 9 against No. 13 Georgia and Week 10’s Egg Bowl game against rival Ole Miss.
Saturday’s away game against Georgia (4-2) will be played at 6:30 p.m. CT and will be televised by SEC Network.
Mississippi State (2-4) returns to action after a week off due to COVID-19 protocols preventing MSU from meeting the 53 scholarship student-athletes required in order to play against No. 23 Auburn. That game has been moved to Dec. 12. Georgia’s Week 8 game against Missouri was also postponed due to COVID-19 protocols.
This year’s Egg Bowl will be played at Ole Miss at 3 p.m. CT on Saturday, Nov. 28. It will also be televised by SEC Network. The game has traditionally been played on Thanksgiving in recent years, but it has been moved to a Saturday this year to adjust for the SEC’s modified schedule because of the coronavirus.
For Ole Miss (3-4), the Egg Bowl will come after a week off because the Rebels’ game against Texas A&M was postponed on Monday because of COVID-19 precautions within the Texas A&M program.
