On Saturday’s newest segment, managing editor, Landon Young, does this week’s Southeastern Conference pick ‘em challenge with his father, Gerald Young.
My father is the reason I am so crazy about Mississippi State sports. He brought me home from the hospital when I was born in a No. 1 Mississippi State jersey. Growing up, we woke up early every Saturday and watched ESPN College GameDay together while drinking some fresh coffee. This week’s cover picture was taken in Florence, Mississippi, featuring my dad’s trunk or treat masterpiece. Every week, I call him before Saturday and we discuss who will win this Saturday inside the SEC. We will discuss betting lines, close games and winners each week.
Let’s PICK ‘EM:
SEC Week 12
Alabama (-32.5) at Arkansas
Pops: Arkansas covers this game. Shocked they’re giving Alabama that many points. Taking the Razorbacks.
Son: I’ll take Arkansas as well. That’s 32 points before the SEC Championship... I don’t think Alabama will lay that many on them.
Georgia (-13) at Missouri
Pops: Georgia covers. Two touchdowns.
Son: Disagreeing with ya, pops. I’ll take the Tigers to not only cover but win this game.
Tennessee (-15) at Vanderbilt
Pops: Tennessee will cover the 15. Don’t see any life out of Vandy.
Son: Tennessee covers. Vanderbilt isn’t good.
LSU at Florida (-23)
Pops: Florida covers.
Son: Florida wins.... but I’ll take LSU to cover. I don’t think Dan Mullen is showing too much for the SEC Championship game.
Auburn (-6.5) at Mississippi State
Pops: LET’S GOOOOOOO!!! MISSISSIPPI STATE COVERS!!!
Son: Hahahaha! I sincerely agree. I’m taking the Dawgs to win this week. We’ve seen them play well and with two weeks of practice under their belts, I’ve got Mississippi State in this game.
