College Football Playoff OPEN THREAD

Good afternoon, college football fans. Today, we’ll kick off the new year with some great college football games.

Starting at 3:00 p.m. CT, the Alabama Crimson Tide will take on the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. Alabama will come into today’s game undefeated with eleven SEC wins. In their last game, the Crimson Tide defeated the Florida Gators in the SEC Championship by a score of 52-46. This high powered offense has been the story for the Alabama 2020 football season. Notre Dame will come into today’s game with a 10-1 record. The Irish have one loss to the Clemson Tigers in the ACC championship game by a score of 34-10. The Fighting Irish look to bounce back today against the nation’s #1 college football team in the Rose Bowl.

This evening at 7:00 p.m. CT, the Clemson Tigers will take on the Ohio State Buckeyes. Clemson will come into today’s game with one regular-season loss to Notre Dame. They recently got revenge in the ACC championship game. The Tigers look to keep Trevor Lawrence’s momentum going today in the Sugar Bowl. Ohio State comes into today’s game with an undefeated record of 6-0. Unlike the three other teams in the playoff, Ohio State has only played six total games. There has been much controversy surrounding whether or not the Buckeyes deserved to be in this year’s College Football Playoff. The Buckeyes look to keep their undefeated season alive in tonight’s Sugar Bowl.
