Mississippi State is off to a perfect 9-0 start on the young season, and the Bulldogs have seen their position heightened in college baseball's rankings as their wins continue to amass. After a 5-0 week that included wins over Grambling, Samford, and Purdue, State rose again this week in four of the five polls, while remaining steady in the other. Here's a look at this week's poll updates:

- There really was no room for MSU to advance in the Baseball America poll. Each of the four teams in front of State won their weekend series', all in impressive fashion.
- USA Today today released their first updated poll since the preseason, and the update saw MSU climb 5 spots to #13. The Coaches' Poll was one of the lowest rankings for MSU in the preseason. State will continue to have chances to advance in the polls in the coming weeks.
- Perfect Game is the only poll that State remains out of the top 15. There are a lot of talented teams in from of MSU in this poll, sure, but this feels like an entirely way too low ranking from PG. We'll see if that improves in the upcoming weeks or if State finds themselves stale in the lower half of the poll.
The Bulldogs return to action tomorrow, taking on the Rhode Island Rams at Dudy Noble Field. The Rams just completed an 0-3 showing in Oxford over the weekend against Ole Miss.
