Seth Heck was named to the Capital One Academic All-American second team on Thursday, becoming the 18th player in MSU baseball history to receive academic All-American recognition. This comes after Heck was named the SEC Scholar-Athlete of the Year each of the last two seasons.

Heck earned his degree in business administration and recorded a perfect 4.0 GPA every semester he was on campus. He helped his team finish with a 3.07 GPA this spring, which marks the 10th semester in a row under John Cohen that the team has finished with at least a 3.0 GPA.
