More accolades rolled in for a few of the MSU football team's upperclassmen today, as 5 Bulldogs were named to the AP All-SEC team.
Senior CB Johnthan Banks was a unanimous choice for the first team defense, while Junior OG Gabe Jackson was a first team choice as well.
Linebacker Cameron Lawrence, wide receiver Chad Bumphis, and running back LaDarius Perkins were all named to the All-SEC second team, with Perkins being named under the "all purpose" category.
This is a huge honor and accomplishment for all 5 of these Bulldog players. For Jackson, making the first team as a lineman is a huge award, considering the talented players that play on the line in the SEC. Same goes for Banks: the cornerback position is always a deep on in the SEC, so congrats to Johnthan for being named one of the league's best. The same can be echoed for all three Bulldogs on the second team: a big accomplishment given as an award for their hard work and highly productive seasons.
