Mississippi State quarterback Dak Prescott, who lost his mother Peggy to colon cancer Sunday morning just hours after playing in MSU's loss to South Carolina, was back at practice Wednesday, and will play in Saturday's game versus Texas A&M, Dan Mullen noted in his weekly radio show tonight at Buffalo Wild Wings.
RT @DawgsBiteMag: Mullen just said yes, Dak practiced Wednesday and can play this game.

State fans had been quietly and respectively wondering all week whether or not Dak would play on Saturday following the loss of his mother. I feel safe in saying that all of the MSU fanbase would have understood completely if Prescott chose not to play, yet he will again show the amount of strength and courage he has by suiting up on Saturday.
Prescott, coach Mullen and teammates who chose to make the trip attended Peggy Prescott's funeral in Haughton, Louisiana on Wednesday, with Mullen and the team minus Dak traveling back that afternoon to continue preparations for Saturday's game.
Again, you can't say enough about Dak and his strength in returning to the field so soon after losing his mother and attending her funeral. Whether he goes 1-for-30 with 10 sacks Saturday or 30-for-30 with 400 yards and 5 TDs, all of Bulldog nation will be extremely proud of his efforts and his toughness. State fans continue to rally around and support Dak and the Prescott family and keep them in their thoughts and prayers.
