When you're coming off two seasons where your team won just one game, you might want to keep your head down and go about your business. That is not the path that RS Senior wide receiver Markese Triplett has elected to take though, as the Southern Miss starter didn't mince words on Monday when asked about the MSU defense:
Triplett on Mississippi State's defense: "They don't scare me."

Triplett, who caught 33 passes for 588 yards and four touchdowns last year for the Golden Eagles, didn't stop there, either, as he added a few more quotes that State might elect to put up on the bulletin board this week:
Triplett on being Nick Mullens' security blanket. "If he throws me the ball, I'm going to catch it. Let me put it like that."

Southern Miss senior receiver Markese Triplett on the cowbell. "That's they're thing. They've got to do what they've got to do."

Triplett, who is one of eight returning starters on a Southern Miss offense that finished 12th in Conference USA last season, will get all the chances he wants to back up his words in just four days when the Bulldogs and Golden Eagles square off at Davis Wade Stadium.
