FWtCT Business Newswire -- As the country as a whole climbs slowly out of a recession with market gains and new jobs created every day, not every company from coast to coast is as fortunate right now. @CoachHughFreeze, the Twitter account for the Ole Miss head football coach of the same name and the largest LLC in Oxford, Mississippi, has announced it will lay off 50 workers today as retweet production continues to decline.

The company, a once-thriving tech startup that manufactures retweets for anyone seeking a birthday shoutout or , has seen production drop from nearly 42 RTs a day to just one to two, which is forcing them to trim their workforce by 50 from 250 to 200 workers. A company official said the layoffs are in no way a reflection of the value that Coach Freeze Industries puts into the account, or an indication that Coach himself has now shifted company focus towards liking inspirational pictures on Facebook.
