Another LOI is in fresh off the presses, as 4-star Columbus (MS) offensive lineman Jake Thomas is officially a Bulldog.
Thomas, the Dandy Dozen performer from Columbus High School, becomes the fourth Bulldog recruit for the class of 2013 to sign, the school announced today through a statement on coach Dan Mullen's twitter account.
Welcome to the Bulldog family Jake Thomas. #HailStateNSD

Thomas is another from the group of long-committed Bulldogs, as he gave his pledge prior to last season, in mid August. Despite interest from Stanford, North Carolina, and other national programs, Thomas chose to stay nearby and play for the school just 30 minutes from his hometown.

John Luke's thoughts
Thomas has long been considered a true tackle prospect out of nearby Columbus, but he showed that he may instead end up at guard at the next level at MS/AL all star event. He comes from an MSU family and will proudly represent MSU. I expect him to redshirt and be ready to contribute after a redshirt year.
