Mississippi State football recruiting notes ahead of National Signing Day 2015

One last look at what to expect tomorrow and some quick updates on a few recruits.

Bully Head How about that Darryl Williams offer from Florida?

On Monday, State fans were a bit surprised to see that Bessemer OL and current Bulldog commit Darryl Williams got a late offer from Florida.  The move was surprising for a few reasons: 1) it was two days from NSD; and 2) it was during a dead period when no prospect can visit a campus.  Nothing further ever came to light about the situation until Paul Jones of 247sports reported ($) that the offer actually came to Williams over the past weekend.  It appears that the Gators, who will sign a small recruiting class tomorrow, had missed on a few targets on the OL and made a last second attempt to get the MSU commit to visit.  That obviously didn't happen, and all indications are that Williams will sign with MSU tomorrow.

Bully Head About Courtney Miggins' Monday announcement...

So about Courtney Miggins' planned Monday announcement: that obviously came and went.  Many stayed up late awaiting word from Miggins via social media or recruiting analysts, but nothing ever came.  With another quiet day today it's clear that Courtney is still weighing his decision, which is understandable.  The decision will come down to Kentucky, Mississippi State, and NC State, and we don't know what time we'll hear the final decision tomorrow.  MSU seems to be the favorite for Miggins' signature, but Kentucky wouldn't surprise me, either.

Bully Head Prince Tega Wanogho Jr. update

One of the fastest rising and most sought after prospects late in this recruiting cycle has been 4-star DE Prince Tega Wanogho Jr. out of Edgewood Academy in Alabama.  The Nigerian has been recruited heavily by every major program since he reclassified to 2015, but Auburn was always considered the favorite.  That became official today as Wanogho Jr. committed to the Tigers and to signing with them tomorrow.

There was some talk ($) that he wouldn't sign tomorrow, and would instead take a few additional visits and sign later.  That is off the table now, obviously.  MSU was probably always a long shot, but it did look like they would at least get a visit.  Thanks alot, selfish Gus Malzahn.

Bully Head Leo Lewis updates (spoiler: there are none)

Looking for Leo Lewis updates?  Tidbits that might help you get some insight into what's coming tomorrow?  Well you've come to the right place then, because we have as much to offer you as anyone else: NOTHING.  No matter what some derranged LSU fan says or what your friend's second cousin's half niece says she heard, nobody outside of the Lewis house probably knows what's coming tomorrow.  All we can do is sit back and wait to hear what Leo decides, then respect that decision.  It will come at 10:30, so hang in there just a little longer folks.
