Last year Coach Dan Mullen of Mississippi State caught the eye of many with a very nice Mother's Day note that he sent to recruit Chase Johnson's mother. Johnson would go on to sign with Memphis, but he did mention at the time that it was nice to see such a personal touch from a coaching staff that talks to hundreds of kids each year.
And it looks like that act wasn't just a one-player, one-year sort of thing for the MSU staff, as evidence of new cards have started to show up this week with Mother's Day this upcoming Sunday.

Those two examples come to us from Matt Womack, a 2015 OT from Hernando, Mississippi, and Steve Enis, a 2015 OLB from Fayette, Alabama. I would have to suspect that there are dozens if not more of these floating around the houses of recruits all across the country this week, with every one featuring a nice personal note, and maybe a few featuring a nice personal stick figure drawing from Geoff Collins.
