Yesterday's single elimination is in the books, and four teams have gone home most likely to await their postseason fates to be announced on Sunday. Here's a quick look at yesterday's results:
Vanderbilt 3, Tennessee 2 [Recap]
Arkansas 4, Texas A&M 0 [Recap]
Kentucky 7, Alabama 1 [Recap]
MSU 5, Georgia 4 (10 innings) [Recap]
And with those results in, here's a look at the updated bracket:
Today is a big day for all the teams involved, because a win today and a win tomorrow means that team gets a day of rest Friday and won't play again until Saturday afternoon. Lose today, however, and the road to the championship game becomes a really long one (see: State's path in 2012). While yesterday was a fun day of action, today should be even more fun as the top four seeds get involved. Here's a look at the schedule for today. We will update with results as the day progresses. In the meantime, if you are looking for a good follow for live updates, I cannot suggest enough our friend PodKatt (@valleyshook) from LSU site And the Valley Shook. He's an annual trekker to the tourney, and he's now a credentialed member of the media. Give him a follow to keep up with today's action.
