STARKVILLE, Miss. — Mississippi State (33-9. 10-8 SEC) is coming off an 8-1 win over rival Ole Miss where the Dawgs claimed their fourth straight Governor’s Cup. Now, Fourth-ranked and Southeastern Conference leading Georgia Bulldogs (33-9, 13-5 SEC) come to Dudy Noble Field for a three-game SEC series.
First pitch for Friday is set for 6:30 p.m. CT. Saturday’s first pitch is scheduled for noon with the series concluding on Sunday with a first pitch slated for 1 p.m. CT. Friday and Sunday’s game will be televised by SEC Network+, while Saturday’s will be televised by SEC Network.
Georgia is coming off of a weekend where the Bulldogs swept Missouri, but dropped their midweek contest with Georgia Teach, 8-6.
Senior Jake Mangum comes into the weekend series just five hits shy of Eddie Furniss’ SEC record for career hits. His 348 hits lead all active Division I hitters.
