What to expect from the game?
It will be interesting to see how intense the Bulldogs will come out and play. An alarming trend that is beginning to develop with this young team is that when they win a game, the next they tend to come out flat. If the Bulldogs come and with the intensity of which they are capable, this should be a win for MSU. The two teams match up relatively evenly; both are averaging about the same amount of points on almost identical field goal percentages.
Who to watch?
A two-guard tandem, Chris Denson and KT Harrell, leads Auburn. These players combine for an average of 39 points per game. If MSU is going to win this game they will have to step up the perimeter defense on these two guards.
Mississippi State will come out ready for this game and take care of business. The Bulldogs have been a different team on their home court all season, and I think they will continue that success. MSU wins 72-67.
