Mississippi State Puts Little Sister In Her Place Yet Again...

Yes, I know this is very late, but I was too tired to post after the game and I was too busy on Friday night.  However, for those of you that aren't aware of it, State beat their little sister to the north again on the basketball court.

The final score was 69-64.  The win finally snapped a three game losing streak and it was pretty easy to see why said streak was finally snapped.

Of course I'm referring to Renardo Sidney and Dee Bost.  Those two guys alone put up 49 points between them.

Sidney and Bost have both played very little this season due to suspensions.  Now with all the fighting, and the suspensions in the rear-view mirror, Mississippi State finally has all the pieces together on the court to be a good team.

I'm particularly impressed with Sidney's quick improvement.  The conference opening loss to Alabama stung pretty bad, and Sidney was certainly a guy you could point a finger at.  He only scored two points in that game.  When you factor in the brawl in Hawaii, it seemed he'd been a tremendous waste of time and effort.  However, a win over the confident Black Bears was just what the doctor ordered.

Hopefully Thursday night's game wasn't a fluke for him.

Ole Miss has now lost 19 out of the last 25 games to their big brother, Mississippi State.
