As first reported by the Clarion Ledger's Rod Walker, 2012 East Marion High School running back prospect Xavier Grindle orally committed to play for Mississippi State this afternoon. Grindle, who is listed as a Three Star (***) prospect by the Rivals Recruiting site, is also a member of the Clarion Ledger's "Dandy Dozen", a list of the annual 12 best football players in the state of Mississippi.
With Big Dawg Camp looming this weekend, Grindle is the first of what is expected to be 5-8 commitments to State this weekend. Stay tuned for updates
