It's always interesting to see how the game of football has evolved over the years. And its always great to see the Bulldogs take it to the Tide. Here is video that Six Pack user sparky39762 posted on YouTube of the 1940 State at Alabama game. The bulldogs came away victorious, 13-0.
A few other notes:
- Alabama never attempts a field goal. They go for it on 4th down 5 times and get stopped each time.
- Mississippi State also won the 1941 matchup, 14-0.
- This game is in the middle of an 11-year stretch of the game being played in Tuscaloosa. It would not return to Starkville until 1948.
