SB Nation BlogPoll College Football Rankings 2011
Oklahoma: Impressive top to bottom and on both sides of the ball, this is a team that seems destined for a date in the BCS National Championship Game. Several roadblocks lie ahead for them before that day though. This team will continue to go as Landry Jones goes.
South Carolina: Gamecocks avoid one of many trap games on the schedule this weekend with a tight victory over the Naval Academy. We've seen this team be good over the last several years, but it just feels like they have the team and talent this season to BCS it up. Basically, if Garcia can minus the beers and plus the good decisions in the passing game, Lattimore and Jeffrey will carry this team to 10 wins I think.
Oregon: It's unfortunate for the Ducks that they will basically "fly" [pun definitely intended] under the radar for the rest of the season because of their game 1 loss to the Tigaasss. This team can still have an impact on the National Championship game though as they'll meet Stanford later in the year.
Florida State: Sure they couldn't seal the deal on a big win Saturday night against Oklahoma, but this is still a pretty good team. Big matchup for them this weekend in South Carolina against the red-hot Clemson Tigers.
Arkansas: All world talent on offense even without Knile Davis, but the Razorbacks will get their first true test in a big way as they travel to Tuscaloosa to face Alabama. Tyler Wilson can light it up, but we will see if he's SummerofMallet level talent this weekend against the Crimson Tide, yo.
Clemson: All of a sudden in a two weekend stretch this team could become a force to be reckoned with on the national scene. Oh and thanks Clemson on behalf of all of us for finally dislodging Chizik's magic horseshoe.
Illinois: WTH Ron Zook Top25? this doesn't feel right. See my favorite Zook moment below:
