So, Who's the New Guy?

Hi World—

First of all, let me just tell you, I am pumped to be a part of For Whom the Cowbell Tolls, and I promise to make this more exciting than a Sly Croom offense.

So, if you are wondering just who I am, I suggest you read this, and then give me a follow on twitter (@justinrsutton) and listen to my show, The Daily Grind on Bulldog Sports Radio (with @bulldawgjoe) every weekday at 9.

I’m your typical MSU supporter. You know the one who always hopes for one more win than what’s reasonable (see Florida, 2004) while bracing for that one loss you don’t expect (see Troy 2001, Maine 2004).

I’ve been a lucky MSU fan. I was at most of the rollercoaster we call the 1999 football season. I have a piece of the flag on the uprights from the MSU win over Florida in 2000. I sat through the freezing cold and a Taylor Hicks halftime show to watch the Bulldogs win the Liberty Bowl. I saw Mario Austin drill a three to send a game with Kentucky to overtime. I looked in the courtside monitor hoping against hope that Derek Zimmerman’s shot beat the clock to sink Tulsa in the 2001 NIT, but it did not happen.

I might still be a little bitter about the time I bought tickets to all the 2001 road football games, and yes, it still stings that I paid way too much money to watch a first round loss to Butler. That’s ok though. After all, that’s part of the fun in being a Bulldog fan—you never quite know what to expect.

Where all will I go on the blog? Who knows? Buckle up, and enjoy the ride.

Go Dawgs!
