A report this afternoon from Tulsa TV Station KTUL's Sports Anchor Rick Pendergraft states that Scott Sutton, the current head coach at Oral Roberts University, is interviewing sometime today with Mississippi State officials in Atlanta for the vacant head men's basketball coaching position.

Sutton, the coach at Oral Roberts since 1999, has amassed a 223-154 record in his time there. He led the Golden Eagles to back-to-back-to-back NCAA Tournament appearences in the 2006-2008 campaigns.
The golden eagles were just 19-16 under his direction this year though, and have failed to make the NCAA Tournament since the 2008 season.
Most would consider Sutton a mediocre or less than mediocre hire to replace former Coach Rick Stansbury, who retired last week.
