MSU Baseball: NCAA Regional Projections

Baring an epic collapse to end the season, the Bulldogs are headed to the NCAA tournament. But the final two weekends of the year (vs UF and UK) will go a long way in determining the Diamond Dogs regional seeding.

Record: 30-18

Polls: 25 (Baseball America) 26 (Perfect Game) 30 (Collegiate Baseball)

RPI: 36 (WarrenNolan.com) 39 (NCAA.com) 39 (Boyd's)

Record vs RPI Top 50: 6-10

What's left: 3 games vs RPI #1 Florida, 1 game vs Central Arkansas, 3 games vs RPI #10 Kentucky, and the SEC Tournament

The remaining schedule is frightening, but a blessing as well. If the Bulldogs can pick up a couple of wins, their RPI could shoot into the 20s.

Perfect Game projects: #2 Seed - Houston Regional - Hosted by Rice

I like this draw for MSU. Rice is solid, but they're not overloaded with talent like in year's past.

College Baseball Nation projects: #3 Seed - Tallahassee Regional - Hosted by Florida State

Dogs went through Tallahassee to get back to Starkville and on to Omaha in 2007, but I don't see that happening here. Florida State is too good, and Central Florida is a well-rounded club.

ESPN.com projects: #3 Seed - Tallahassee Regional - Hosted by Florida State

#1 FSU, #2 UCF, #3 MSU, #4 Bethune-Cookman. See above. Dogs could go 0-2 here.

@robnoladog projects: The Bulldogs go 2-4 against UF and UK, beat C. Arkansas, then go 2-2 in the SEC Tourney.

Final Record: 35-24

#2 seed - Baylor Regional
