After (presumably) capping off his career with an 11-2 record, a sparkling 2.38 ERA, and SEC Pitcher of the Year honors in his Junior season, Chris Stratton was rewarded for his success on the diamond this year and his talent by being selected 20th overall by the San Fransisco Giants in the 1st round of the MLB Draft last night.
Stratton, who was projected to go as high as 5th and as low as 25th, was virtually assured of a being a 1st round draft choice, and the Giants made that official last night when they selected him 20th overall.
Brad Locke reports that the slot value for the 20th overall pick is $1,850,000.
Although Stratton has not "officially" opted to turn pro, it is highly anticipated that he will make the decision to do so very soon.

Here's the MLB's write up on the Giants taking Chris at the #20 spot.
FWtCT congratulates Chris on his accomplishments and we wish him all the best at the professional level. Thank you for all you did for Mississippi State.
