100 Days of MSU Football - Day 19

#19 on the team is Arceto Clark.

A lot of folks are expecting Chris Smith to step into the leading role among MSU's deep receiving corp this year. Chad Bumphis has been a name off the tip of everyone's tongue since he stepped on campus in 2009. But what about 2011's leading receiver Arceto Clark?

At SEC Media Days Johnthan Banks claimed that the toughest receiver he's ever tried to cover is Arceto Clark. That's high praise considering Banks has gone up against guys like A.J. Green and Julio Jones among many others.

Clark had 442 yards last year on 30 catches. He had the highest YPC among the wide receivers (Malcolm Johnson and Marcus Green had more). Clark also led the team in receiving touchdowns with 4.

Arceto has had an unusual career in that he played as a true freshman in 2008 but redshirted in 2009. He has been a starter for the last two seasons, however, and was the 2nd leading receiver in 2010 and 1st in 2011.

At 5'-10" Clark is often overlooked, but rest assured he'll be an integral part of the MSU offensive attack in 2012.
