100 Days of MSU Football - Day 12
In today's edition of the countdown we take a look at one of my favorite all-time Bulldogs, #12 Dicenzo Miller. Dicenzo, who played at State from 1998-2001, was a shifty, tough-to-tackle running back who came to State by way of Weir High School just down the road in Weir, Mississippi.
Miller still stands as 9th on the all-time career rushing yards list at State with 2,209 yards, and is tied for 4th for 100 yard games (10) in a career with Michael Davis, Michael Haddix, and Vick Ballard. In 2000, Miller teamed up with Dontae Walker to form the SEC's best two back combo, whose success led State to a 3rd straight 8+ win season and a berth in the Independence Bowl (which we now know as the "Snow Bowl.")
In my mind, there is no play more that personifies Dicenzo's playing style and skills as this 78 yard screen pass TD against Brigham Young University in the second game of the 2000 season.
