How could they not? Smoot served as the outspoken leader of one of the most dominate defenses in Mississippi State history. He also had an awesome website.
Statistics alone cannot describe how important of a role Smoot played for Mississippi State, but he hauled in 10 INTs during his two years in Starkville. This also helped him become a consensus All-American in 2000.
