Usually I don't pay attention to what's going on at Ole Miss camp. But it's hard not to notice them tripping over themselves at every turn. It wasn't enough that they went 2-10 last year, but their best player Nick Brassell can't make his grades and gets shipped off to junior college. Then it's like every single day they get shot in the foot. I was laughing but now I'm just thinking there's an old lady putting needles in a Rebel Bear doll somewhere.
Junior LB D.T. Shackelford has been ruled out for the season. My story.

Of all the players on the defense it'd be nice to have every game of the season and at full speed I'd probably rate Charles Sawyer #1

Charles Sawyer is out for 4-6 weeks with a torn quad. It looks like Quintavious Burdette or Trae Elston to replace him.

HEY SPORTS GODS, WE'RE ALREADY STRUGGLING HERE. YOU DIDN'T NEED TO INJURE OUR BEST DEFENSIVE PLAYER.

Collins Moore has a torn labrum. Will require surgery. Coaches are hopeful, but may put him out for the year.

Freeze still hasn't heard from the NCAA Clearinghouse on Channing Ward and Temario Strong. "Surely it's coming soon," he said
— Ben Garrett (@SpiritBen) August 7, 2012
Freeze, to put it nicely, wasn't pleased with the QB play today. Said both Wallace and Brunetti had their share of "awful" decisions.

I would feel sorry for them, but, well, I'm not going to. It does suck for them about the injuries, I hope we can keep that away from the guys wearing maroon. I'm more encouraged for 0-12 everyday.
