The third weekend of football in SEC country gets kicked off tomorrow as teams begin to establish whether they are contenders or just pretenders. Last weekend, we found out a few teams were pretenders, and I suspect this weekend will continue to further shake out the hierarchy in SEC football.

Last week saw four of us - myself, Metal Building Dawg, winstoncountysfinest, and tbradenbishop, all go 9-2 for the week. Every single one of us missed on picking the Warhawks of UL-Monroe over #8 Arkansas in Little Rock, so that ruined the chances of anyone having a perfect picking weekend right off the bat. I took a chance on picking A&M in their first SEC game (looked good at halftime), while the rest of the guys picked Vanderbilt, which proved to not be the smartest decision for them (see what I did there?). Despite his countless hours spent watching, studying, understanding the game of football, Week 2 was not Justin Sutton's day in the sun, as Sutton stumbled to a 6-5 record with longshots UTEP and Kent State coming back to haunt him in the end.

After two complete weeks of competition, winstoncountysfinest stands alone atop the leader board with a sparkling 20-2 record. Just behind him tied for second place are Metal Building Dawg, JLgrindin, and myself. C.G. Mosley sits alone in 3rd place, while Justin, robnoladog, and tbraden are tied for 4th place. Joining us for the first time this season picking is The Bruce Dickinson aka The Godfather of FWtCT. Bruce starts fresh at 0-0.

Overall, this week's picks are pretty uniform across the board, with the exception of a few upset specials here and there. Looks like JLgrindin and The Bruce Dickinson are buying into the Warhawks of UL-Monroe as well as Western Kentucky to go into Lexington and upset Kentucky, if you could really call that an upset at this point.

Outside of that and JLgrindin's homer pick of Ole Miss over Texas (can you blame the boy? He's just so excited and he doesn't realize that when McConaughey shows up for any Texas game the Longhorns ride his 30 foot long giant magical lucky unicorn to victory), everything seems pretty much in order with our predictions this week. Lots of easy home wins predicted, and in the big game of the weekend, it looks like everyone except Braden is taking the Volunteers at home over the Gators. In what would have been a big game this weekend in Fayetteville, everyone is now safely taking Alabama, while now praying for Arkansas' safety #PRAY4HOGS.

[In McConaughey's Dazed and Confused voice] Alright alright alright!

So, what do you guys thinks about our selections? Debate them, congratulate them, but most of all, enjoy another outstanding weekend of football in the best conference in the nation, the ESSSSS EEEEEE SSSEEEEEEEE
