And just like that, we're nearly 1/3 of the way through the 2012 college football season. Last week's picks were much more stable overall than previous weeks had been, as everyone picked at a 9-3 record or better. tbradenbishop, who finished with the best overall record for week 3 at 11-1, was just one throwback screen by Western Kentucky away from having the perfect week picking games. Let's take a look at where everyone stands after three complete weeks of play in the SEC.
It's lonely at the top, but winstoncountysfinest says that's how he likes it, as he currently sits alone atop the standings with a sterling 30-4 record thus far. After WCF things start to clump up a bit, as Metal Building Dawg and myself sit tied in 2nd with 29-5 records, and a trio of contributors - JLgrindin, C.G. Mosley, and tbradenbishop - are tied for 3rd place with 28-6 records. Just behind them are Justin Sutton and robnoladog who both claim 27-7 records on the year, and The Bruce Dickinson is unplaced at this juncture, as he just began picking games last week. He did start off well, however, picking at a 10-2 clip in his first week. We'll see if everyone's picks for week 4 help shake up the standings a bit more. Let's see who everyone picked at FWtCT for the SEC slate of games (and a surprise bonus game) here in week 4 of the college football season.
Another weekend of pretty uniform picks here at FWtCT, it looks like. As a matter of fact, there's only one game featuring an SEC team - Rutgers at Arkansas - outside of the national game of the week - Clemson at FSU - that we all had differing thoughts on. It will be interesting to see how that game plays out now that QB Tyler Wilson has been cleared to play Saturday. Outside of those two, we all agreed on Ole Miss, Florida, South Carolina, Bama, LSU, MSU, A&M, Tennessee, and Georgia to take wins. When looking at this week's slate, the only game outside of the two toss up games that may even be close is the Missouri @ South Carolina game, and I'm not 100% convinced it will be close. We will see.
Now let's hear your picks - do you agree with us? Disagree? Think we're all fools? Either way, I know we all look forward to another solid weekend of college football here in the south.
