- Did you miss anything from yesterday's Snow Bowl and Egg Bowl jersey reveal? If you did, make sure to catch it all right here in our 2012 MSU Uniform Unveiling storystream (storystream is one of those awesome new features of the site that I LOVE).
- Tony Connor, 5* Safety prospect out of Batesville (South Panola), gets some love from 24/7's JC Shurburtt, who tabs Connor as the best available safety prospect in the class of 2013. You can read more on Connor here in a little bit in JLgrindin's off week recruiting update.
- Really good read from the Clarion-Ledger's Rod Walker on 4* MSU commit Chris Jones. Jones, the until-recently unheralded 6'6" 250lb DE out of Houston, told Walker this about his love for defense:
Man, I don't like to block," said Jones with a laugh. "I like tackling people and being physical and hurting people."
- A couple of new commitments for the Mississippi State baseball team:
NEW COMMIT | From this past weekend, MIF Jake Vickerson 5-11 180 bats left throws right from Shelton CC in Alabama.

NEW COMMIT | Glenn Irby LHP 6-2 205 from Florence AL is the latest commit. Perfect Game has him highly thought of.

- Now that the Snow Bowl and Egg Bowl jerseys have been unveiled, the next most important question is obvious: WHEN WILL THEY BE AVAILABLE ON THE VIDEO GAME? Joe Galbraith with the answer:
I'm told they'll all be available for download on Oct. 7. RT @frankvaughn209: @joestate will EA Sports release those uniforms?

- Travey Haney of ESPN shows MSU some love and even says we are "building (a) quiet BCS case". Warning: link is behind ESPNinsider paywall.
- From my boy Bobby C., this is something I missed yesterday in the excitement of the new jersey reveals. The inside collar of the Egg Bowl jersey says "this is our state", and if you look up at the top right, you'll see that that phrase has apparently been trademarked by the school.
That's it for today's news and notes folks. Have a good one!
