The Bulldogs took down Oral Roberts on Tuesday, 3-2. Trevor Fitts got his first start of the year and went three innings giving up two runs but only one of them earned.
Daryl Norris pitched for the first time all year and went 1 1/3 scoreless striking out three and walking one. Norris was rumored to pitch a good bit more this season, but he hasn't had the opportunity until last night. It sounds like he may be switching to a pitcher on a permanent basis as he has struggled at the plate in this his junior year.
Johnathan Holder came in to close things out for his 14th save on the year - that is a school record for a single season.
At the plate it was all Adam Frazier, Alex Detz and CT Bradford as they accounted for 8 of the 10 hits.
Oral Roberts took a 2-1 lead in the 4th inning but State quickly took it back with a rally of their own in the bottom half.
