Aspiration vs. Revenge. Who wins?

Mississippi State (50-18) and the No. 3 Beavers (52-12) must tangle one more time in Omaha for a chance to play for a national title.

If MSU wins, they would play No. 1 North Carolina or UCLA June 24-25/26. If MSU loses, a second game against OSU would be played tomorrow at 2 or 7:30 p.m.

MSU will, again, start senior RHP Kendall Graveman (3.17, 7-5). He went 4.2 innings against the Beavers in their first meeting. As for Oregon State, freshman RHP Andrew Moore (14-1, 1.57), whose only loss this season is against the Bulldogs last Saturday, gets the second chance start. He gave up a career-high four earned runs last time. PITCHING REMATCHES RULE!

OSU is going for their ninth consecutive in a CWS elimination game, dating back to 2006. OF Michael Conforto, who's 7-12 (.583) with four doubles in the CWS, is someone to be mindful of this afternoon. OSU squeaked out a win against The shutout tied them with Rice for most (12) on the season.

MSU is just simply on a magical run. These are the stories you usually only dream about. Since the 2013 SEC Tournament, they've gone 10-2 in post season play. The school's 50-win season is only the fourth in MSU baseball history.
