Packers' Jordan Love: Takes over for injured starter

Love completed six of nine pass attempts for 113 yards and a touchdown after Aaron Rodgers (ribs) was forced to leave Sunday's 40-33 loss to the Eagles. Love stepped in for Rodgers with the Packers down two scores late in the contest and the backup didn't let the offense skip a beat, despite eventually falling short on an improbable comeback attempt. The 2020 first-round pick looked as good as we've ever seen him in limited action, whipping crisp passes to his receivers in stride en route to a near-perfect QB rating in his quarter of action. Initial reports on Rodgers' ribs are unclear, but he was able to avoid a punctured lung after having trouble breathing while being examined postgame. Head coach Matt LaFleur added that he doesn't know if Rodgers will be forced to miss time, but added that if healthy, he will start Sunday against Chicago, according to Jeff Howe of The Athletic. If Love does end up starting for the 4-8 Packers, he showed enough of an improvement in a hostile environment Sunday to warrant fantasy consideration against a struggling Bears defense. Jalen Hurts set a franchise record for most rushing yards by a Philadelphia Eagles quarterback in a single game, racking up 157 yards on the ground in a 40-33 win over the Green Bay Packers on Sunday night. He broke a record that had previously belonged to Michael Vick, who rushed for 130 yards in December 2010 against the New York Giants . Hurts has spoken at length about his deep appreciation for the Philadelphia quarterbacks who came before him. When he works out, he puts highlights of Vick, Donovan McNabb and Randall Cunningham on for inspiration. For Mississippi State, familiarity matters: Can Mike Leach’s veteran team rise in SEC West?

Mississippi State receiver Austin Williams remembers sitting on the bus and waiting. It was November 2020, and Mississippi State officials didn’t know if they’d have enough available players to face Georgia the next day in Athens because of COVID-19 positive tests and contact tracing. The number of players allowed to dress had dipped below 53, the threshold for a team to postpone or cancel a game. But these Bulldogs wanted to face those Bulldogs. The buses rolled. Mississippi State lands Penn State transfer QB, Tommy Stevens

He is more than familiar with Joe Moorhead's offense. I think he'll have success.

Shaqoun Anderson-Butts commits to the Bulldogs

Shaquon Anderson-Butts of Iowa Western Community College has committed to joing Joe Moorhead at MSU. He was a Penn State commit in last season's recruiting cycle but didn't qualify for enrollment at Penn State. The Harrisburg, PA native has lined up on offense and defense for Iowa Western.

Mississippi State will play @ Louisville Tuesday @ 8 PM on ESPN in the NIT Quarterfinals

It’s official! MSU at Louisville Tuesday at 8 p.m. in NIT quarterfinal play. ESPN will have the broadcast. #HailState— MSU Men's Basketball (@HailStateMBK) March 19, 2018

Louisville knocked off Middle Tennessee 84-68 to setup Mississippi State's next road game in the NIT. Louisville will host the game Tuesday night at the KFC Yum Center in Louisville Kentucky. The winner will clinch a ticket to Madison Square Garden in New York City. At first glance, Louisville looks like a great team so will certainly be a tough test for Mississippi State. The KPI has Baylor at 32 and Louisville at 33. So State is having to go through 2 of the top teams in the NIT on the road to make MSG. More information later.

Joe Moorhead as described by a Penn State writer.

Moorhead is going to be an excellent hire for Mississippi State in my opinion. I think you folks might enjoy reading this.
