MSU football player Chris Hughes was arrested last month on pending domestic violence charges. Hughes, 21, has allegedly committed several acts of domestic violence on his girlfriend. Neither Mississippi State or MSU Head Football Coach Dan Mullen have agreed to comment on Hughes' indefinite suspension from Mississippi State Athletics, however MSU spokesman Joe Galbraith announced Hughes' permanent release from the team on Thursday.

Chris was also arrested twice in 2011 in Mobile, AL on similar assault charges. He was found guilty and served five days in jail. The upcoming football season would have been his senior year.
