On Sunday, we asked our readers when was the last time the Mississippi State Bulldogs posted such a dominant win against a non-cupcake opponent. A few games that I had forgotten about popped up on the list such as Kentucky (ranked No. 8 at the time, I believe) in 2007, but the one that drew the most attention was the 2000 victory over the Florida Gators.
@mstatesports Egg Bowl 2009, win vs ranked KY on the road in 07, at home vs top 5 Florida in 2000, few more Egg Bowls I could name

@mstatesports Florida Gators. Starkville 2000 with the ole ball coach at the helm.

@mstatesports Would be up there with 2000 v. Florida if not for the late collapse.

@mstatesports 2000 vs Florida
— HunterKiker (@HunterKiker) September 21, 2014
@mstatesports Florida 2000 was the standard for dominating a game that mattered. LSU 2014 on the road at night vs #8 Tigers takes its place.

@mstatesports 2000 UF or 2010 UF for sheer soul-crushingness

@mstatesports 2000 Florida Gators ranked #3

"@mstatesports: Not counting cupcakes, only good teams, last night was Mississippi State's most dominant performance since ______?" UF 2000
— Tim Ray (@HarrisonAgGuy) September 21, 2014
@mstatesports since gator bowl win over michigan.
— Stan Morelock (@stan_morelock) September 21, 2014
@mstatesports Ever. Never dominated an opponent of that caliber on the road ever, even with the collapse.

@mstatesports No cupcakes, so all Egg Bowls are out?
