Mississippi State fans entered this basketball season with tons of excitement with Ben Howland at the helm and Malik Newman joining the team. However, that enthusiasm has been tempered somewhat with a loss to Southern University and a beat down at the hands of Miami.

Mississippi State has a chance to rebound and pick up a win against a Big 12 foe when they face the Red Raiders on ESPN 3.
