Hello, Computer. How's the Internet today?

Before you get in your obligatory half hour of zoning out at your desk, take a short stroll through some of the MSU-related and maybe-not-so-MSU-related miscellany that the internet has to offer today.

Morning Linkage, etc.

Talkin' 'bout the Belk Bowl - Sure, the game's a couple of weeks away, but that doesn't mean you should do without your fix, right? Check out all the glorious babble our coaches and players unleashed after practice over the weekend:

And last but not least, Tony Hughes' last interview as an MSU coach, where, only days before accepting the JSU job, he was surprisingly candid about his interest in becoming a head coach if given the opportunity by another school:

What, is Turner not photogenic enough for freaking YouTube? - Apparently DL coach David Turner is a monster not worthy of being filmed. Sorry, y'all. You're going to have to "read" or whatever if you'd like to get Turner's takes on the bowl game, Chris Jones' future, and the progress of the individual members of the defensive line.

Practice report - If you're willing to sully your eyes with David Turner's words over at Scout.com, stick around for David Murray's Monday practice report. No incidents of spontaneous combustion in his report, but he did snap of pic of our player's snazzy new Belk Bowl shoes:

Prescott and Ross on AP All-SEC teams - The Associated Press named Dak, the walking MSU record-book, to its All SEC First Team yesterday. He's the second MSU quarterback to make two consecutive AP All SEC First Teams. Fred Ross was named to the AP's All SEC second team. I know there are some great receivers in the conference, but I think Ross made a strong case for first team honors. I mean, he led the conference in receptions and receiving yards in SEC play. If you're the only receiver to average over 90 yards per game against SEC team, you deserve all the props in the world. I'm just saying . . . .

Giving the ladies their due - State has made the wise decision to extend the Relentless series to the women's basketball season. Here's the trailer:

Bludgeoned to death by kangaroos - I guess y'all probably heard about the men's basketball team's debacle in Kansas City over the weekend. If not, hit the link to read about the sadness. Twenty-freaking-nine three-point attempts on 24% shooting. What the crap, guys? And even then, we led by three late in the second half. Ugh. So depressing. But don't be deterred. Maybe we'll pull a rabbit out of a hat on Wednesday when we play 6 - 2 Florida State in Tallahassee. It's on ESPN2 at 8:00 (CST).

Spring will be here eventually, I promise - Those of you who are over football and not keen on watching the vestiges of Rick Ray taint Howland's first season should check out Bob Carskadon's excellent piece on baseball recruiting and assistant coach / recruiting coordinator Nick Mingione.

No one makes fun of Tim Allen on my watch
