When Tulane decided to drop their 2016 game against Mississippi State, Bulldog fans knew that it would bring a bit of confusion and some change to the schedule for Mississippi State. Judging by this tweet from Mississippi State athletic director Scott Stricklin, the changes are already underway. Unless I completely missed something somewhere, Samford looks to be a new addition to the schedule with the Louisiana Tech game moving back to 2017. With the Bulldogs now holding six home games in hand, Mississippi State should have more flexibility in lining up their last opponent, whether that game happens at home, on the road or at a neutral site. It will be fun to see what happens with the schedule over the next couple of days.
