The weekend we all have been waiting for is upon us! Mississippi State's #25 Bulldogs versus the #14 Bayou Bengals coming up from Baton Rouge, and the weather will be great for the game!
MSU's big weekend starts off with the first rush of the year on the Junction! Thousands of tailgaters will be stampeding outside of the stadium to get a great spot to grill some burgers and hot dogs before the game tomorrow! Temperatures will be in the mid-80s, but it will feel near 90 due to the humidity in the area.
However, some rain will be moving through from Little Rock and Memphis in the late afternoon and could interrupt the beginning of Bulldog Bash in the Cotton District. The showers and thunderstorms are isolated, but they will not be out of the Starkville area until about 8 PM. Once the rain is south, it will feel drier because the rain will be gone and the cooler air that came in from the cold front. The temps around Bulldog Bash will start in the upper 70s but will decrease into the upper 60s for the rest of Friday night in Starkvegas.
Saturday's going to bring some wonderful tailgate weather! Mostly clear skies throughout the day and we will be able to see the stars by the time the game ends. Afternoon high will be in the mid-70s, so it will be and feel a lot cooler than the past week. It will be a little windy, so you might want to cover the grill as you're prepping to grill some Dawg food.
The game will be mostly clear throughout the game and temperature at kickoff will be 69° and moving down into the upper 50s by the time we're all exiting Davis Wade Stadium. Winds won't be an issue for the Special Teams because they'll calm down and it'll feel really pleasant out on campus.
Overall, it's going to be some of the best weather the MSU Bulldogs have played in for a long time...time to wrap it in maroon and white!
