According to Michael Bonner of the Clarion Ledger, MSU is set to hire USC linebacker coach/recruiting coordinator Peter Sirmon. As far as the recruiting aspect, it looks like a home run hire. USC landed the No. 1 recruiting class in 2015 under Sirmon. Sirmon -- who played linebacker in the NFL for the Tennessee Titans -- is not expected to take over as recruiting coordinator for MSU according to Bonner. With that being said, I have to imagine those duties would fall on newly hired safeties coach Terrell Buckley. Mullen can't go wrong either way as both of those guys were proven recruiters at their respective schools.
