Mississippi State Baseball Garners Another Top 20 Preseason Ranking

MSU won't be flying under the radar at the beginning of the college baseball season.

The third college baseball poll out of the 100 that will come out was unveiled on Wednesday. The narrative remained the same for John Cohen's club.

Perfect Game ranked MSU No. 17 -- the lowest slot for the Bulldogs in the three polls that have been released -- but still a respectable ranking nonetheless.

MSU was the lowest ranked among Southeastern Conference teams. Florida, Texas A&M, Vanderbilt, and LSU landed in the top 10 once again with Florida claiming the top spot in yet another poll. Missouri, who was not ranked in either the D1Baseball or Collegiate Baseball poll, came in two spots ahead of the Bulldogs at No. 15.

Here's an updated list of where MSU stands in the polls:

D1Baseball: 15

Collegiate: 11

Perfect Game:17

The Baseball America, NCBWA, and coaches poll have yet to be released. We will update all of those as they come out. However, once the season starts we will stick to two polls like last season, most likely D1Baseball and Baseball America or coaches.
