The Mississippi State-Samford Matchup Scares Me

Samford scares me a little bit. It’s not that they’re all that intimidating of a team. They’re from the FCS and the talent differential is a fairly wide one. But the matchup does concern me somewhat. After all, Mississippi State’s secondary has this habit of giving mediocre quarterbacks opportunities for a career day. And Samford’s Devlin Hodges is a pretty good quarterback.

What are your thoughts on the matchup? Does Samford strike you as a potential trap game?
