Hurricane Matthew Moves Mississippi State’s Game Against Auburn to ESPN

The postponement of the LSU-Florida game has changed the scheduling of college football a bit.

NCAA Football: Mississippi State at Auburn John Reed-USA TODAY Sports

It looks like Mississippi State and Auburn will now be on ESPN this Saturday. The game slated for an 11 am central time kickoff was originally slated to be televised on the SEC Network, but things have changed. With the postponement of LSU-Florida because of Hurricane Matthew, Mississippi State will now be shown on ESPN.

From the ESPN press release:

Due to the postponement of the LSU at Florida football game, the Auburn at Mississippi State game will now air on ESPN at noon ET on Saturday, Oct. 8. The game was originally scheduled for SEC Network at noon. Tom Hart, Andre Ware and Cole Cubelic remain the commentators for the game.

Hurricane Matthew has done a lot of damage and wreaked havoc as it has moved along its path. A lot of people are in awful situations, and postponing the game between LSU and Florida was the right move.
