Moments ago, as we’re preparing to watch Mississippi State take on Ole Miss, redshirt junior quarterback Damian Williams announced that this would be his last Egg Bowl. In an instagram post, Williams stated that this was his “last game in maroon and white.”

With the emergence of Nick Fitzgerald and a growing rate of quarterbacks transferring across the nation, this should come as no surprise. It’s very possible that Damian will transfer to another school this offseason and will compete to start elsewhere. As Mike Bonner notes in his tweet, Damian has another year of eligibility left.
Good luck in whatever your next step is Damian. Thank you for all that you’ve done for Mississippi State University. I hope your future is bright.
