The Mississippi State Women's Basketball team is currently undefeated and ranked 5th in the country. The team is the highest ranked team in the SEC, and they were picked to finish second behind South Carolina in the final SEC standings. This could be a very special season for Vic Schaefer and his squad.
One of the most important part of a team's success in college basketball is how a team performs in the NCAA tournament. And one of the best ways a team can make a deep run in the tournament is to get the best seed possible.
According to ESPN's Women's Bracketology, the Lady Bulldogs would be a two seed in the NCAA Tournament. This would also place them in the same regional as the number one seed Notre Dame Fighting Irish. It's important to note because the Bulldogs would not have to face the UConn Huskies until the Final Four if both teams should happen to advance that far.
So we ask the question; where will the Lady Bulldogs be seeded when the NCAA Tournament announces its field this march? Are we putting the cart before the horse? Sure, but it's December and there isn't a lot going on write now, so lets speculate to our hearts content. Will they be a one, two, three, four or higher seed in the NCAA Tournament?
As always, we would love to get your reasoning behind your vote in the comments section. I think there is a case to be made for just about any seed with all of conference play still waiting in January. Let your voice be heard!
